Assessment

Community access assessment, program development and integration

MFA is expert in selecting and accessing appropriate community programs for their clients. MFA therapists will help integrate community programs into clients’ lives.

Community Integration

MFA focuses on helping clients resume activities they enjoyed prior to their injury, helping them re-connect with former communities and  connect with new communities. MFA will assist clients to engage in social interaction programs to help them re-engage in community activities.

Attendant care program development

MFA creates a team-structured program, where therapists, family, case managers and all other parties involved share and work with common goals. MFA holds long-term relationships with top quality attendant care agencies and will provide  training for carers in manual handling, equipment use, therapy implementation and managing challenging behaviours appropriate for each client.

Case management

MFA will liaise with funding bodies, work with attendant care agencies, residential care staff and other parties involved in complex care programs, to help take the stress out of dealing with complex programs for their clients.

Independent living skills development

MFA is expert in the use of the latest home equipment to maximise clients’ quality of life. MFA therapists will recommend and train clients, families and carers in the use of home aids and equipment.
